Moving the cursor

  • To the start of the command line: Ctrl + a
  • To the end of the command line: Ctrl + e
  • Forward one character: Ctrl + f
  • Backward one character: Ctrl + b

Deleting

  • From the cursor to the start of the command line: Ctrl + u
  • From the cursor to the end of the command line: Ctrl + k
  • The previous word: Ctrl + w
  • The character under the cursor: Ctrl + d
  • The character before the cursor: Ctrl + h

Pasting

  • Text deleted via a shortcut, after the cursor: Ctrl + y
